The cold frozen North

It has been so long since I last logged my journeys. I am sad to say that my time in Northrend has not gone as I expected. The state of the world hangs in the balance, as does the state of my own life. The blistering cold winds of Northrend have not only numbedr my body, but they have penetrated down into my soul. I have long struggled with my place in this world since I was freed from service to Arthas.

Ermangarde has been the light of my life since we first met that fateful day in May. Before she entered my life, I was as vibrant as a mindless ghoul. It was through her that I started to feel light in my life once more. She has truly been a blessing to my life, giving me hope and love when I had abandoned all light.

Now, I have to find exactly how I fit in this world. I am a Death Knight, and I shall be until my spirit perishes. While I am forced to use the magic of death, I still feel myself a creature of the light. I use these powers to help the good of the world. I have to set Azeroth free from the tyranny of the Lich King and the Scourge. For a time, I tried too hard to become a being of light once more. I took it to an extreme that left my character empty and numb. This was not me. I did not embrace who I was with pride.

I hope now to bring my life into balance.

Shadowmoon Valley to Netherstorm

My adventures with Ermangarde today took me to Shadowmoon Valley. The demonic presence from the Burning Legion was quite heavy in this land. The legion had corrupted all of the formerly noble beasts in this land, twisting them into vicious monsters. The felboars had increaesed to a monumental size. Their charging attack would constantly stun me, however Ermangarde avenged this maneuver with a hammer of justice on their heads, stunning them in return. Clearing them out helped our Orc friends have safe travel through this land.

We also encountered some amazing dinosaurs who had the ability to survive inside of the hot green lava. We collected their internal organs to learn how they can survive in such an extreme environment.

Of course, we also went after the Burning Legion themselves. They were amassing a secret large army, getting ready to strike us. While we were spying on their fort, we ran into a large pit lord, Morrgoron, who was collaborating with the demons.

Shortly after this, we visited Area 52 in Netherstorm as I was approaching my 68th level. While visiting the goblins, I honored the Horde flame. Since the Alliance flame was not far away, I went over and desecrated it. To my surprise, after I desecrated their flame, I reached my 68th level! I am now considered experienced enough to make the flight over to Northrend to confront my former tormentor Arthas, the Lich King.

We spent some more time in Netherstorm, seeking out the Blood Elves still under the influence of Kael'Thas. I feel disgraced to see the symbols of our people used in conjunction with such dark demonic alliances. We silenced many of them as well as their arcane guardian. Ermangarde is now quickly approaching level 69, however we decided to call it a night so that we may be well rested for our day tomorrow.
